A few weekends ago I had the opportunity to spend the morning with Christie and Jeff and beautiful and energetic family out at The Sunflower Garden in Westminster, Maryland. I had never been before, but it was a great space to weave among the flowers with plenty of full and pint-sized farm equipment to entertain kids. Good thing too, as their 4-year-old, Brice, was FULL of energy, running faster than I could keep up! We were able to slow him down and get some shots of him climbing on the tractor and playing in a mini-car before he wore himself out. I've worked with Jeff for the past couple of years and it's always fun to see people out of a work setting! Christie is a delight and 1-year-old Sadie is such a serene child, content with looking at the sunflowers and unfazed by us plopping her in a wheelbarrow or in the middle of the gardens. Photographing kids can really be a challenge, and I'm slowly learning tricks to get them to at least pause and turn towards the camera!
